PTA Activities

Here are some of the things we do as PTA:

  • Plan and run the Holiday Gift Shop in December
  • Organize the annual Picture Day
  • Fund the fifth grade yearbook, T-shirts and graduation party
  • Fund end-of-year celebration for Kindergarten
  • Show appreciation to the hard-working school staff (Photos of PTA-sponsored Staff Appreciation lunch: June 2024 | June 2025)
  • Hold fundraising events that are enjoyable for the kids (Photos of Oct. 2024 Bake Sale)
  • Organize community events such as Movie Night in the Kent Theater
  • Advocate on behalf of the parents and teachers to implement changes benefiting the school community. For example, the halal lunch pilot happening this school year resulted from a PTA initiative.
  • Survey the school community and work with the administration to enhance our children's experience through afterschool programs and enrichment activities
  • Apply for grants and reach out to local government officials to raise money for large projects such as the schoolyard renovations

Meetings

Schedule & Minutes

The PTA meets once a month to discuss school business and plan activities. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Some meetings are held in the mornings in the school cafeteria and other meetings are held in the evenings on Zoom.

For in-person meetings, please do not forget to bring ID to enter the school building.
